Toyoko Inn Kumamoto Shin-shigai

The Toyoko inn is a simple, clean, basic hotel. Its main advantage is it is in a really great location with huge undercover shopping malls going in every direction and lots of alleyways with great little eating spots everywhere. It’s close to the Sakuramachi bus terminal and the tram lines can take you to the JR train station. The Castle is only a short walk away as well. The other advantage of this hotel is its affordable price with a free breakfast. The staff are kind and helpful too.

Rooms were well setup. Breakfast was great for the price. Excellent soup options! Laundry machines worked well. Location was great being close to Kumamoto Castle, shopping/dining, and the tram.

The service was amazing. The location is great right in the center of downtown with a lot of things to see. They even let me borrow an iron.

The breakfast was excellent and so is the location. I enjoyed my stay as it's is very central and close to places of interest of Kumamoto.
